The unsettling prophecy that had shaken his feelings suddenly felt meaningless.

Mocking himself for being so easily swayed, Kagura bit back at the weight of Zero’s tongue with equal intensity.
This provoked Zero, making his tongue movements even more lascivious.
As the familiar power struggle unfolded, Zero closed the window while Kagura grabbed the curtain and drew it shut.
Suddenly, Zero eased the strength of his tongue, softly licking the roof of Kagura's mouth. The sensation, teetering on the edge of ticklish pleasure, made Kagura’s tongue quiver.

A sweet sound escaped his throat, which made Zero shake with triumphant laughter.
Irritated and simultaneously provoked, Kagura broke free from Zero’s arms and dropped to his knees on the floor.
“What’s this? Can’t even stay on your feet anymore?” Zero teased as Kagura unzipped the front of his leather pants. Pulling down the front of Zero’s underwear revealed something half-erect from just their kissing.
Pressing his mouth against it, Kagura’s mind briefly wandered to Renjou. He recalled the time he accompanied Kiriyama to the ‘Invincible Castle’ and witnessed Renjou serving Kiriyama. His hands, as if acting on their own, mimicked what he had seen, using both thumbs to stroke the underside, coaxing it to full firmness.
The hardness beneath his fingers grew rapidly, thrilling him. Running his tongue along the distinct ridges, he teased the defined contours, allowing his tongue to glide over the shaft and gently nipping at it from the side.
Zero flexed his thighs, shifting his stance.
Still stroking Zero’s dick with his fingertips, Kagura looked up and returned the earlier jab.
Zero glared down at him, his expression sceptical.
“This feels… different, doesn’t it?”
Ignoring the question, Kagura opened his mouth wide and took in Zero’s taut tip. Following what Renjou had done, he tried to take it deeper, pushing it far into his throat. The suffocating pressure made his mouth tremble, a mixture of submission and defiance surging within him. His vision began to blur with flickers of light.

Instinctively, perhaps as a defensive reflex, Kagura’s teeth bit down slightly on Zero’s dick.
Zero pried Kagura’s mouth open with his fingers, extracting him off of him.
“Ugh,” Kagura gagged violently as Zero zipped up his pants and knelt beside him.
Zero’s gaze turned sharp and unyielding.
“Where’d you learn that?” he demanded hoarsely.
Kagura knew that simply denying it wouldn’t satisfy Zero.
And now, he thought, there was no point in hiding it. Better to share the information.
“I’ve accompanied Kiriyama to the ‘Invincible Castle’ several times to gather intel. There, I saw Renjou giving Kiriyama a blowjob. Toono seems to have ordered Renjou to entertain Kiriyama.”
“Renjou? Entertaining Kiriyama?”
Zero muttered incredulously.
“I saw it happen right beside me. That’s probably where I picked it up—watching how Renjou did it.”
“So, you stared hard enough to imitate it?”
Renjou’s technique, paired with his face that could easily pass as a beauty’s, would probably captivate any man watching.
“If you’d been there, you’d have stared just as hard,” Kagura retorted bluntly.
Zero gave him a stunned look, then abruptly grabbed Kagura by the throat, tightening his grip.
“I’ve told you not to get involved with Kiriyama. Don’t even try to claim you forgot.”
“Kiriyama lent me an S-rank invitation card and gave me free rein.”
Zero’s expression darkened dangerously, but Kagura pressed on, undeterred.
“I needed to see the parts of the world you refuse to show me. There’s too much you don’t want me to see.”
“That’s because it’s about the ‘Citizen’ and the ‘Non-citizen’—”
“So, the ‘Citizen’ and the ‘Non-citizen’ can’t ever face each other as equals? Does that mean we’ll never be equals, no matter what?”
Zero remained silent, further fueling Kagura’s frustration.
He already understood that achieving equality between them wouldn’t be easy. Still, he yearned for it, no matter how impossible it seemed.
“So, I’m just some pet you’re keeping and protecting?” Kagura spat the words, glaring at Zero. Zero returned the glare, and the two locked eyes, neither backing down for several long minutes.
Then, suddenly, the sharpness in Zero’s gaze softened. At the same time, the grip on Kagura’s neck loosened.
Zero muttered quietly, “That call earlier—it was an update on rooting out the Eastern Alliance’s informant.”
“...So the Eastern Alliance’s attacks are still ongoing.”
“Yeah. And while we’re hunting the mole, cracks are forming in Enwu’s network. Honestly, it’s taking a toll.”
By revealing his weakness, was Zero trying to show that he, too, sought equality between them in his own way?
“I’ll investigate how the Eastern Alliance is getting their intel on Enwu.”
Kagura suppressed the turmoil flickering in Zero’s dark eyes. “This isn’t a suggestion; I’m just letting you know what I’ve decided.”
When their gazes met again, the flicker in Zero’s eyes disappeared. “So I have no choice but to accept it?”
“That’s right.”
Zero sighed, but there was no rejection in the gesture.
Zero had likely overcome countless hardships to build Enwu into what it was now. Yet, the current issue with the mole seemed to be an especially difficult obstacle, leaving him visibly strained.
This was a man who had once shrugged off five gunshot wounds as ‘minor injuries’, but now he seemed to have lost that composure.
Kagura wanted to encourage him. But knowing that he hadn’t yet achieved results sufficient to earn Zero’s trust, any words he said would feel empty.
“Hey, Jinya.” Zero’s dark, piercing eyes searched deeply into Kagura’s own as he asked; “Tell me…there’s really nothing going on between you and Kiriyama, right?”
“...Of course not.”
“I see.”
Relief spread across Zero’s face, but it sparked a stinging guilt within Kagura.
The guilt wasn’t about the time Kiriyama had licked his chest.
It was because, in that brief moment, Kagura had felt a spark ignite deep within his body—a sensation he couldn’t ignore.
